It really is quite cruel to put good-smelling things at dog-nose level. But, my
bread dough wasn't rising and the Internets seemed to think it was because the temperature in my house was too cool. Blasting the dough with fresh-from-the-furnace hot air did the trick.
Oh, how Penny longed to investigate those smells!

Oh you got to tell me how it turned out!
By the way, my dog loves bread more than anything else in the world. I think he'd trade both Jeff and me for a loaf of bread. So needles to say, we have to keep our dough high up and out of reach.
And yes - I had to keep my dough near the heat vent to get it to rise, also.
followed your link...bread looks great, did you put corn flour on a pan? i don't want to have to buy a random ingredient just to put under the bread, unless it's totally worth it.
Janelle - I didn't buy corn meal. I had some whole wheat flour I used. Before I remembered I had whole wheat flour, I'd just planned to use regular white flour which I think would work just fine.
