Smallest DIY project

This might be the smallest DIY project ever. It took all of five minutes to transform these trinket magnetic letter openers into little works of art with paper and stickers (left over from my long-abandoned scrapbooking hobby). Here are the finished products.

Too cute, Poochie :) You should post instructions on how you made them!

I like the fabric or paper in the background of the first two images. PRETTY!

I don't know if Lola was serious or not, but here's how I made them. I pried the clear plastic cover off the front of the letter openers (I removed one with just my fingers and used a table knife to help with the other one). Then, I removed the slips of paper advertising my insurance agent and a seed corn company and replaced them with my little creations. Then, I popped the plastic covers back on them and put them on the fridge.

In the first two images, the background is actually a soap dish I got from anthropologie. I don't use it for soap, though. It holds bobby pins and hair elastics.

ooh, I like them. I wonder why I never got to inherit some of those seed corn letter openers...seems like we had a million of them years ago!

I think you need to post a warning that safety goggles are recommended when using your new letter openers. :)
